1. Scope
This California Privacy Notice applies to personal information covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Rights described here apply only when the CCPA applies to AgentEmailer, the person, and the information at issue. Terms such as “personal information,” “sell,” “share,” and “sensitive personal information” have the meanings given by California law.
2. Categories of information
During the preceding 12 months, depending on a person’s interaction with us and the fields available for a professional record, we may have collected the following California categories:
- Identifiers: name, email, phone, mobile, fax, postal or business address, IP address, account identifiers, and license number;
- Customer-record information: contact and billing details used for an account, transaction, support, or download;
- Commercial information: product selections, filters, purchases, amounts, payment status, cart, and download history;
- Internet or electronic activity: browser and device details, referral and interaction data, timestamps, and security or diagnostic records;
- Approximate geolocation: a general location inferred from an IP address in limited support or communication flows;
- Professional or employment-related information: office, professional association, license type and status, issue and expiration dates, and related business details; and
- Sensitive personal information: account log-in credentials used to authenticate customers. We do not use this information to infer characteristics about a person.
We do not intend to collect Social Security numbers, financial account access codes, health information, biometric templates, or precise geolocation through the Service. Please do not submit that information in a contact form.
3. Sources, purposes, and recipients
We receive customer information directly from users, automatically from browsers, and from providers involved in payment, security, support, and delivery. Professional information may come from public licensing and business sources, permitted or licensed data sources, and our standardization and verification work.
We use these categories to provide and secure accounts; process and deliver orders; respond to requests; operate filters, previews, and samples; maintain and improve professional records; prevent fraud; comply with law; and exercise legal rights. We may disclose relevant categories for business purposes to cloud, database, payment, email, support, live-chat, CAPTCHA, security, and professional advisers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Sale and sharing under California law
AgentEmailer offers selected professional directory records to customers as a paid data product. Because California defines “sale” broadly, this activity may be considered a sale of identifiers and professional or employment-related information when the record relates to a California resident. The purchaser may receive the fields included in its order and is contractually restricted from reselling the resulting list.
We do not sell account passwords, complete payment-card details, or private support correspondence. We do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and therefore do not consider our current practices “sharing” for that purpose. We may disclose information to service providers and contractors for business purposes, which is different from a sale when California’s requirements are met.
5. Your California privacy rights
Subject to legal scope, verification, and exceptions, a California resident may have the right to:
- know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about them;
- know the categories of sources, purposes, recipients, and information sold, shared, or disclosed;
- request deletion of personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information when that right applies; and
- receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising a CCPA right.
We may retain information where an exception applies—for example, to complete a transaction, secure the Service, meet a legal obligation, exercise legal rights, or maintain an opt-out or suppression record.
6. How to submit a request or opt out
Submit a request through our contact form. Use “California privacy request” as the subject and state whether you want to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out. Include your name and enough matching information—such as the relevant professional email, phone number, license number, office, and state—for us to identify the record. For an account request, write from the email connected with the account when possible. Never send your password or a complete card number.
An opt-out request applies prospectively, subject to legal exceptions. We may keep limited information on a suppression list so we can honor the request if a record appears again in a future source. California residents can also learn about the state’s Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP) at privacy.ca.gov/drop.
7. Verification and authorized agents
We use information in the request, account, transaction, and relevant professional record to reasonably verify identity. The amount of verification depends on the request and the sensitivity of the information. If we cannot verify a request, we may explain the limitation or treat it as an opt-out request when appropriate.
An authorized agent may submit a request for a California resident. We may require proof of signed permission and may ask the resident to verify identity or confirm the authorization directly. A valid power of attorney may satisfy different requirements under California law.
8. Minors and sensitive personal information
AgentEmailer is a business service for adults. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. We use account log-in credentials only for account access, security, and related service purposes, and not to infer characteristics about a person.
